Growing up, I always enjoyed going to a small neighborhood barber shops. Sullivans is a fine locally owned shop and has been my go to barber shop now for years. After relocating from Little Rock to Northwest Arkansas, I have really come to appreciate Sullivans even more (after being let down by more "trendy" barbers in NWA).Now making a stop in at Sullivans is part of my quarterly business trips back to LR.

I came in on a whim. I've been using salons and wanting to try a barber so I gave it a shot. The old man was just sitting in a chair watching Macgyver (already a good sign) I showed him some pictures of what I wanted and he started right up. He hardly spoke a word (what a relief) he just did his job. I was EXTREMELY reluctant initially because he hardly wet my hair which is novel to me but I figured it was either going to be a fantastic cut or possibly the worst haircut I ever received. Such a great place! Just get in there and tell him whatever style you wanna have, and he will give you that cut. He is very experienced and professional. Don't be mistaken by thinking that just because it's an old shop, you won't get your desired haircut. The price is very reasonable too. It opens at 7am even on weekdays which I like because there is no waiting. Oh btw, no card; he accepts only cash and checks.
