So about two years ago Andrea and I embarked on this strange journey of remodeling my 1972 mid century midtown home. I called Arnold’s because it was local, and very close to my home. I knew they would understand the Midtown vibe because they were located right in the middle of it. I wanted to pay homage to the mid century style that the home was built in yet make Updates fitting 21st-century home. Andrea came to the house took measurements, I threw out ideas she took notes, took more measurements and she drew up some plans. After I secured a Construction Loan we got to work. Her contractor Steve came by and made sure that all of the structural changes I wanted were feasible. With his approval we first began working on the main bathroom shower. This was in December 2021. The shower was completed by the middle of the month and then we held off on the rest of the construction until after the holidays. on January third 2022 Steve and his helpers came to my home and gutted my entire kitchen, dining room, and living room. The project was extensive. not only was I getting floors, countertops and cabinets; we were moving a wall, removing old paneling, scraping popcorn ceilings and floating drywall. During this time I lived in the downstairs section of my home, and I was also working from home. I’m not going to lie, remodels are stressful. However Steve, Andrea and the whole crew made the process bearable. It took four months to complete the entire project. And the results are wonderful. The quality of the work was great, the products and materials are wonderful. And I got to put my own signature on the design especially the backsplash which was my creation. I love being able to pick out cabinets and countertops and paint colors and floors, and having Andrea‘s input. I’m confident she would not have allowed me to choose something that would not have worked. And she allowed me tons of creative freedom. Her cabinet design took advantage of all the spaces in my kitchen. I highly highly recommend having Andrea and Steve work on your home remodel. Steve and his crew were very attentive to details and optimized the use of the time we had to get this done. I had a construction loan so we were working against the clock and they were very efficient. I have posted a lot of photos please let those images speak for themselves. I love my new home, and that’s pretty much what it is, a new home. It is comfortable, cozy and very distinctly me. Thank you, Andrea and Steve and all the rest of the people who worked on this project. It is a complete success and I’m looking forward to many happy years here.
Andrea with the Cantrell location was so great to work with. We had quartz countertops and a granite sink installed and they did an amazing job. Andrea also arranged for a plumber to install our new faucet. We did the backsplash ourselves but purchased all of the materials from Arnold’s. We love the finished product!
Andrea was amazing and turned our tiny closet into a masterpiece, by adding a much needed half bath downstairs! So pleased.
