This is more of a response to minister Iva Lehman D. I was going to just get on and give a review but seeing that one I feel I need to respond. She has already been called out on next door by another customer about her attitude. I was Dr Bilby's next appointment and already being put in the exam room when this lady came in and was yelling at everyone. I was being put in the exam room at about my appointment time, maybe 3-4 minutes early. She was not just 8 minutes late. The receptionist did a great job. I left the door open to listen to the crazy. I wish I had recorded it so I could show everyone on here. I have been to many vets over my life. I love Waggin wheel and wouldn't go anywhere else anymore. To the reviews saying that the phones were awful, yes they kind of are, but my entire 30 minute appointment the phone barely stopped ringing. They seemed to be doing their best. I think they are hard to get into because they are so good. But hey hopefully if these crazy, aggressive, angry people leave there will be more care for the good people in the village and their pets! And to the lady's comment that her doctor wouldn't do this, that is complete bs. I worked in the medical field for decades. If you are not early and done with your paperwork by your appointment time you will likely be turned away. If we were slammed and you weren't ready that's tough luck. The problem with customer service nowadays is the entitled customers. Customers aren't always right. My mothers name is Karen so I don't like that term, but that is the description of so many people nowadays. Sorry, rant over. Waggin Wheel is amazing. They have taken great care of my healthy and my sick. And they have been amazing when it has been the worst times for my loved pets.
I Have lived here over 16 years. A friend and fellow veterinarian referred us to Waggin Wheel when we first moved here. We we're looking for a trust worthy veterinarian. At the time we had a very old Newfoundland dog. They helped me take care of Bear through the last of his years and when he peacefully passed in my arms with great empathy and emotional support. They continue to be our vet and take care of our 10+ year old GSD Axle. I have heard positive and negative comments and stories about veterinarIans all around the Village. Vets will make mistakes. They are human. I see the same faces every Time I go in and they are nice and welcoming. Axle is very anxious when we go to the Vet and they are always very calm, patient, and understanding when he is stressing out and never get angry with him. They listen to my concerns and work to get to the bottom of what issues my dog may have, PJ Skubish.
They have the most caring staff. We lost one of cats shortly after Thanksgiving and they tried so hard to help him. The care and compassion they showed Smokey, Brian and me was above and beyond. We opted to have him cremated and when he returned to us they had all signed a card.
