The Arlington Bathhouse

The Thermal Bathhouse and Spa at the Arlington is a historic gem that offers a unique experience. The hotel's Thermal Water Spa allows guests to bathe in hot spring water, and services include baths, massages, sauna, and more. Guests can request "The Works" to get the full 1920's bathhouse experience. The hotel's lobby, and lobby bar are fantastic, with excellent service and a great atmosphere. The downstairs shoppe features a local ice cream parlor, an independent bookstore, a record store, and a barber shop, giving it a great feel. The veranda around the hotel is also amazing, perfect for enjoying a drink and taking in the setting. However, the hotel's rooms and facilities are in need of renovation. Guests have reported peeling paint and plaster, chipped and tile in the bathhouse, and rusty fixtures in the bathrooms. The carpets are stained and uncomfortable to walk on, and the beds are old and dip in the middle. The TV and coffee maker didn't work, and room service was slow to pick up breakfast items. Despite these issues, the hotel's location is unbeatable, and its brunches and buffet meals are excellent. The nighttime lobby entertainment is also fun, and the hotel's historic charm is still evident. With some much-needed renovations, the hotel could return to its former glory and charge premium rates.
