About Ramseys Alterations
Ramsey's Alterations is a highly recommended tailoring service known for its friendly and professional atmosphere. Customers appreciate the owner’s politeness and warmth, often noting her caring nature and ability to remember details about their garments. Many have had positive experiences with various alterations, including bridesmaid and prom dresses, with several stating that the fits were perfect and the quality of work impeccable. However, reviews indicate that the pricing can be on the higher side, with one customer expressing surprise at a bill of $270 for basic alterations, which typically costs less elsewhere. While many customers have expressed satisfaction with the final results, it is suggested that potential clients inquire about pricing upfront to avoid surprises, especially if they are on a budget. Despite some concerns about costs, the overall consensus is that Ramsey's Alterations delivers high-quality work and excellent customer service. With a loyal customer base and a history of reliable alterations, this small business is a go-to for those looking for tailored clothing in the area.
I had a bridesmaid dress altered here, and I had a pleasant experience with the owner. She is very polite, friendly, and a Christian woman based on the praise music I consistently heard in the store. However, I am giving my review three stars because it was very expensive, costs were never discussed, and I didn't receive anything itemized. I dropped it off around Sept. 3 or 4 and picked it up on the 25th (so there was no rush charge) and I gave her plenty of time. I should also add that I am pregnant, so my dress needed some big, yet very simple, alterations. Take it in, and hem it up. That's it. My dress had very clean lines so it seemed easy for her to alter. Again,...read full review
I was referred to Ramsey's alterations via the Clothes Tree Michelle is awesome!! She altered my daughter's prom dress and it fit her perfectly. She is by far the seamstress I have encountered. Thank you MichelleServices: Formal wear tailoring
I was referred here by Clothes Tree. I needed my split sewn down and we ended up adding a corsett to the back as she didn't zip the dress but clasped it and it busted. I dropped my dress off in November and said I didn't need it sewn soon so she said January 13th, I didn't realize it would be closed til then. with these changes and comments I saw on here prior to picking up, I was super nervous about picking up after not seeing the dress for 2 months and the comments here thinking she was going to charge me like $500 - I will say she was so kind, knew which dress was mine when I walked in, remembered what I needed, and every customer that came in she seemed to know them and genuinely care about them. She only charged me $150 praise God!! But I did have leave and go to a bank and get cash out as I don't carry that around and don't have checks.. I would recommend just be prepared but she is very sweet and did a great job!
