They say "you can't teach an old dog new tricks," but Samantha is proving them wrong! I am a lifelong musician, a chorist, soloist, guitar player, and a songwriter. But in spite of all this music, I have never had music lessons and have always wanted to be able to REALLY read music, not just "follow along" forever as I had done all my life. Samantha accepted the challenge! In spite of our distance (we live four hours apart), we have weekly classes via Facetime, and it is fantastic!! My first goal of being able to name and identify all the notations on sheet music has been met, and now I am able to play basic melodies on my keyboard. We have taken piano lessons with Ms Samantha for about a year and couldn’t be more pleased. She is an exceptional teacher! She is so patient, kind and personable and my daughter warmed up to her immediately. It’s evident that she deeply cares for her students and loves what she does because of how much care she invests in her students. She is a treasure!
