This is my second time living in these apartments. I moved back to the area and chose to move back here because of the spacious floorplans. From the beginning, my experience has not been the best. When I first came and looked at the apartments (May 2021), they didn't have any to show and they were under new management. About 3 months later (July 2021) I applied and it took SEVERAL follow-ups or SEVERAL WEEKS because the only person who could who knew how to pull up applications was out on medical leave. Had I not been on a time crunch (September 1 move out date) and had there been other communities that I liked with availability, I would not have moved there just off of the terrible application process. When I finally did move in, there were stains on the carpet and footprints and dust all over, including on the toliet and in the garage. Fast forward 2 months after my move and my toliet starts running continually, when the maintenance person came, I was at work. Somehow he got water all over the floor and went in my linen closet, pickup one of my brand new towels to soak up the water and just left it there, floor half wet and half dry. Plus, he leaked some type of brown liquid on my bedroom carpet. Fast forward to 2 weeks before December 1 and they put notices in our door that they were going to be under new management and to not pay rent through the portal. I had already paid my rent when the notice went out and, to my surprise, I received a late notice around December 6. When I went to the office to inquire, I was told they no longer had access to the portal and I had to show proof that I paid. Fast forward to April/May 2022 and my garage door stopped working. I put a work order in for that and was told after several weeks when I went into the office to inquire that the garage servicer is out of Birmingham and has to have several work orders before they will come. June hits and my apartment is HOT even with the AC on low. After another 3 weeks from when I put my service order in and calling the office, I am told that the AC works fine but due to the attic being hot, a HVAC provider would have to look at it but first they have to find a contractor, put in a bid for the contact then work can begin. SO, I am in the south, in the summer with hardly no AC yet, am paying $1200 for rent in a poorly renovated apartment. In addition to my current AC issue, my toliet has started running continually again. I put in a work order and they came out the next day and closed the work order without fixing the issue. Here we are a week later and my toliet is still running. Another issue, they had a contractor pressure wash and paint the balconies and buildings. Apparently one rail of my balcony needed to be replaced and was, therefore not painted. I put in a work order in May and mentioned to the people in the office on more that one occasion, my balcony still looks tacky. They could have left the whole thing tacky if they weren't going to ensure it was fixed. Also, the fitness room, is a joke. I've watched people walk in, and walk right out. I went one time and there was no AC on. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND FRUSTRATION, DO NOT MOVE HERE!
I've had nothing but a great experience since moving in March. My ac unit went out and the staff was quick to get on the issue. After finding out my unit needed to be replaced they set me up with a portable unit until my new one could be installed. Super accommodating and friendly!
On two different occasions, mice were in the kitchen. When I went to the manager about it, she said, "We can't control everything." ? We moved out after only one year.
