We brought our 5 yr old in for a consult today for a tongue and lip tie. His brother and sister both had it done by Dr. Baxter as babies, but he was a Covid baby and I was a first time mom, so I waited and I just didn’t know enough about the procedure or that breastfeeding shouldnt have been as much of such a struggle at the time. I used a nipple shield to nurse him for almost his whole first year of life and he had feeding issues when introducing solids, was a delayed walker, and had some speech issues in toddlerhood. He was toe walking at 5 years old and had been adjusted by a chiropractor, been to physical therapy, and has tried everything else, we decided it was time for a revision. As always, we had the BEST experience with Dr. Baxter and his entire team. I was concerned with him being older that he would be anxious, but They were incredible with him from the first moment we got there and even gave popsicles and prizes to his siblings too. After the revision, he immediately had more tongue mobility and said he felt less “tense” in his shoulders. His range of motion has improved and toe walking has decreased too! We are so thankful for Dr, Baxter and his team!!
My daughter had her tongue & lip tie lasered by Dr. Baxter in 2022 when she was 1 month old. Not only did it help with her latch & frustration when feeding, it helped her avoid future problems she may have incurred later on. We drove 2 hours away to go here & it was well worth it! The procedure was very quick & we were gave thorough instructions on how to do the mouth stretches at home to prevent it from growing back. My daughter is 3 now & hasn’t had any other issues. I highly recommend this center to anyone whose child has a tongue tie, lip tie or cheek tie!
