“Growing old is a challenge. I am a 71-year-old retired pediatrician. In my case aging involves Parkinson's disease and loss of neuromuscular control. I wanted to try physical therapy to prolong my muscular function. I am a hiker and plan to stay out in the woods as long as possible. I came to Vulcan Performance because I prefer an independent physical therapy office with expertise and a personal touch. Members of the staff have specialized training in assisting Parkinson's patients. At the beginning, I visited twice a week and have continued to work with Vulcan Performance at least weekly. Clients are a mixture of older folks like me trying to maintain function and younger folks with various sports related or orthopedic injuries. I like that mixture. It is a cheery place.
