Riverside was my family’s vet when I was a child. As an adult I moved and sought other vet care for my pets. We rescued a cat from our neighborhood and she was not well. We brought her to Riverside and I honestly feel like they saved her life. She had a lot of health needs but thankfully treatable. She was severely underweight and lived under my daughter’s bed. I cannot begin to express the gratitude my family and I feel toward the incredible team at *Alabama Veterinary Hospital*. A week ago, our 6-year-old Maltese, who thinks she’s 6 feet tall, was brutally attacked by three pit bulls. One of them wouldn’t let go, viciously biting her to the point where her intestines were exposed, her leg was broken, her lung was punctured, and her ribs were fractured. It was a horrifying sight—her injuries were so severe that it looked like she wouldn’t make it.

I'm torn between leaving this review or not. I don't want to because I want to gatekeep this magical practice. But I will because everyone should know how amazing they are. The staff are always helpful, the vets are knowledgeable, and it feels like the only clinic left that cares. I don't have to take out a 2nd mortgage to ensure my loved pets don't die or receive the help they need. Superbly recommended.
