Helena Family Medicine provides stellar care with a highly trained team. The staff is friendly and patients are treated with respect, almost never having much of a wait. The care is patient and thorough, and patients never feel rushed, even when the office is understaffed. They always feel heard and understood. While some reviews note that phone staff can sometimes be short or hang up, this is seen as them doing their best to accommodate everyone in a timely manner. Most patients have no issue with referrals, though one noted occasional lapses in note-taking and follow-through on specific test requests, which was frustrating. The practice is highly recommended by its long-term patients.
My first time going was not what I expected. The receptionist/clerk that I gave my insurance information to was very rude. She told me that my insurance card wasn't valid. I explained to her that I work in HR/benefits at my job and yes my BC/BS card was valid. She continued to tell me it wasn't. While standing there I called BC and the customer service rep confirmed my insurance was active, the lady at the front desk continued to tell the BC rep that her system showed it wasn't. After about 10 minutes the receptionist finally allowed me to check in but told me if BC didn't pay I would be responsible. The doctor was amazing, I just wish he could replace the rude receptionist.
I highly recommend Remillard + the NP + the staff here. Always friendly - and even in moments where they’re understaffed and have way too many patients/calls - they never make me feel rushed. Sometimes the receptionists on the phone can be short with you - but I’ve never taken this as them being rude, they’re just doing their best to accommodate all their patients in a timely manner. I always feel like I am heard and understood here, and I’ve never had an issue with requesting referrals and having them follow through. I have been going to Dr Remillard for almost 12 years!! He and his staff are the very best at their profession. Words cannot express enough how grateful I am for the years of stellar care they provide my family and I. I highly recommend Dr Remillard and his highly trained team to care for you!!
