The Backyard, led by Bryan Waites, is a highly recommended contractor for backyard projects. They recently completed a patio and sitting wall overlooking a pond, constructed an outdoor kitchen, and established a walkway to a raised garden. The team also built a border around a tree garden using Crab Orchard Stone. This year, they returned to extend the stone walkway to the driveway and build a border around a "watermelon" patch. Bryan and his knowledgeable staff are praised for their help in creating desired designs, following plans diligently, and leaving the area spotless upon completion. The Backyard is also recognized for building a beautiful stone wall and beach to prevent sand from washing away.
I’ve used “The Backyard - Lake Martin” in 3 different home outdoor projects involving stonework, building a grilling pavilion and most recently creating descending stairs in stone from my home to my backyard outdoor entertaining area. This project also involved addressing a water drainage concern where they solutioned a concealed water duct not visible about the landscape. We had an outstanding experience working with Bryan and The Backyard staff and crew from start to finish on our outdoor kitchen and storage room project. The Backyard crew was on time and did a great job building our flagstone steps and patio extension. Brian suggested a design change that made the whole project exponentially better. They finished as expected, on budget, and cleaned up when they finished. I am very pleased and will definitely use them again.
