On May 14, 2025, Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force Investigators, along with numerous other assisting local agencies executed six search warrants at businesses and residences in Shelby and Jefferson Counties. These search warrants were executed after a long investigation into numerous illicit massage businesses. This investigation began after numerous complaints from citizens, and we then began our investigation. It was determined during our investigation that the businesses were being used as a means of illegal prostitution. After the execution of the search warrants, we also discovered that some of the females working in the business were in the country illegally and possibly only employed to perform these illegal sex acts. Investigators made arrests of Zhen Liang Ou, Aiqin Zheng, and Ting Ting Chen for Felony Promoting Prostitution 2nd Degree. All three were found to be supervising, transporting, or profiting from acts of prostitution. Investigators executed search warrants at: Grace Spa (Alabaster), TRU Acupressure (Alabaster), Lily Massage (Chelsea), a residence in north Shelby County, TRU Acupressure (Birmingham), and a residence in Birmingham. All other females who we made contact with during the search warrants were allowed to speak with victim advocates to ensure they were not potential victims of human trafficking. We are still conducting follow on investigations and we have no additional information that we can share at this time.
