If you need to be seen by a doctor, might as well go to the Kirklin clinic. One stop shop, as you would say. Lab work completed on the premises an hour before an appointment makes for a well informed appointment. Easier communication between the physician and the patient. The only drawback is parking. Parking is always a problem in the city of Birmingham on a weekday.
I want to thank every nurse and doctor in the cardiac and cardiac ICU that took care of my dad. You all saved his life. Not only that, but his entire stay and operation was free because of some program you all have due to him being high risk. He was sent home with ALL his meds, and they all have two refills each on them. That is a blessing considering I couldn't get him a doctor's appt in our home town until April 1st. Every nurse and doctor my sister, myself, and dad had contact with was very sweet. Every time we'd go visit my dad he'd tell us that y'all were taking good care of him. ❤️
Dr. Heslin and team have been tremendously helpful and quick. They were quick to diagnose and treat my daughters tumor. Multiple test were done to confirm and rule out and once there was consistency in the results, we had a diagnosis. The plan was detailed with t's crossed and i's dotted. Even up to surgery day this surgery oncology team has been great! I dare not ask for a better team. We appreciate all that has been done. My daughter is grateful for how quickly this team moved to rid her body of this tumor. Thank You UAB Kirklin. From the parking team, to the lab, to the techs and admin team then to the staff! We appreciate each of you!!
