I walked into Mythic today on a whim, I needed to cut off my dead ends and I googled LGBTQ friendly hair salons in the Birmingham area. I couldn’t be more thankful that I ended up at Mythic with Shai. The atmosphere was immediately welcoming, my first interaction was in the parking lot! I was a walk-in and she immediately got me in for a quick cut. Shai even noticed my anxiety and checked in to make sure I was comfortable. The whole experience was both professional and personable, she asked questions and made recommendations based on my thick curly hair. My hair feels and looks great! To top it off, Shai and I had spoken about my child having some recent struggles with mental health, and she gave me some information on local supports when we were done. This brought me to tears. Completely not necessary, but unbelievably kind. Mythic Salon is the place to support 💜
Shai did my haircut today and this is the most confident I've felt in a long time. Honestly also the most chill atmosphere and not over stimulating like some salons I highly recommend this place
Lucie was wonderful with my daughter. The other girl that was work with her was talking up a storm with my daughter too! This is the first time my daughter said I did good and pick a salon she was comfortable at and did exactly what she wanted.
