“Sam has been giving me mandolin lessons since 2019, and he is a very good choice for players ranging from beginner to advanced. For me, every lesson was enjoyable even with a very focused plan. Sam explains concepts very well and will never hesitate to go back and make sure you understand it to your fullest extent. Sam encouraged me to branch out to find different rhythms/styles for my Berklee College of Music Audition, leading into my acceptance for the upcoming Fall semester.“

“The late, great Diane McNaron was the consummate professional. She was a master singer and teacher and she had a huge, warm heart which sadly gave out in early 2021. She was 75 and still performing. She is greatly missed.“

“John is a super nice man to work with, and is very knowledgeable at what he does! Great, clean shop with a nice selection of instruments, accessories, and pretty much anything else you'd need for your violin or cello! This was my first visit, and I ended up renting a violin. Thanks John!“

“One of those guitar stores where part of the selection is extremely particular, for those who have more niche taste, and the rest is padded with mainstream guitars (Strats/LPs/telecasters etc). Not a bad thing, definitely my kind of store. Owner is amiable, staff are always willing to chat, and just about everyone you meet in there is knowledgeable (staff + patron alike). My only gripe is that the bass selection is a little lacking and the amps are usually nothing special, but still my favorite guitar shop in Birmingham.“

“I can't say enough about Arts music store. I recently started playing guitar. I purchased a new left handed guitar from Arts only to find out later that just because I am left handed does not mean that I should play a guitar left handed. The awesome staff at Arts became involved and really went above and beyond to help me get a right handed guitar. I want forgot the way you helped me and I will remain a lifetime customer. Thank you very much!!!“
