Huge thanks to the volenteer Veterans that pulled out the red carpet for the historic Purple Heart Highway Senate Bill signing by Gov Dunleavy. Historic Site was really appropriate!
Jack Henry Post 1 is the best of the American Legions in Alaska. The people are great and always welcoming. Special events, like Super Bowl celebrations, are a ton of fun. The door prizes, TVs, BBQ Smokers, etc., are amazing. Then add the Smoked BBQ.....WOW!
My favorite veteran club in Anchorage. It has become easier to join as a veteran, and they have sons of veterans and auxiliary members. Prices are right, service is good and friendly, they have 14 tv's for sports, a pool table, shuffle board, darts, and a small deck right outside the bar. They have a giant backyard, gazebo, and fire pit. They serve food every day 5-8 pm and the smoked BBQ on the weekend is fantastic.
