My partner and I recently completed the Spring 2025 Level 1 DJ program. Jake has created a well-structured course that builds core skills step by step. Jake is very musically talented and also an excellent teacher - clear, supportive, and encouraging. We were amazed at how much we learnt and how far we progressed in just a few weeks. Practicing and being able to apply the techniques to our own music selections made it even more engaging. The final showcase at 9910 was a highlight - it was a lot of fun to perform our own sets in front of our friends and family. I would highly recommend NVMA to anyone interested!

I recently completed NVMA’s beginner DJ class, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, it was engaging, supportive, and just plain fun. Jake is an absolute gem—super laid-back in the best way, yet incredibly effective at teaching core concepts. He explains things clearly, offers great feedback, and creates a welcoming space where no question feels too basic. He even includes a 1:1 private session as part of the program, which really shows his dedication to helping you grow.
