Kiwanis Safety City is a miniaturized traffic and pedestrian site designed to provide children and youth with a fun, low-risk environment to explore hazards and learn safety. The facility features life-sized and fully operational traffic lights, railroad crossings, and pedestrian crossings, allowing visitors to practice steering and maneuvering little ATVs while navigating the streets of Safety City. In addition to school and group programs, Kiwanis Safety City offers summer programs and safety camps focused on age-appropriate activities such as bike riding, learning traffic signals, street signs, collision avoidance, and obstacle courses. The Shaping Our World Adventure Camp, a 4-5 day camp for kids aged 6-10, also covers topics like pedestrian, home, fire, and personal safety, recycling, endangered animals, and conservation. Kiwanis Safety City is the best place for children to learn all about safety, with a variety of fun and educational activities available throughout the season. Visitors can even book birthday parties at the facility, with helmet requirements and a maximum of 15 children per party.
