I’m a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) from Edmonton, AB, and I used to work for Intuit, the makers of Quickbooks. My first job when I graduated from the University of Alberta was on the Quickbooks help desk. I was the guy other accountants called when they were having trouble with Quickbooks. I have seen and solved just about every problem there is with Quickbooks. I became a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and then a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) by virtue of all the accounting bodies in Canada merging (CA + CMA + CGA = CPA). I’ve been a Controller in the Real Estate, Manufacturing, Software and Oilfield Services industries. I now help businesses and accounting firms with their Quickbooks problems.
We hired the Red Seal team to help us implement the Lightspeed point of sale solution in our retail store. They were able to extract our inventory from our current system and import it into Lightspeed with only some minor involvement from us. They helped convert us from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, and then fully integrated the Lightspeed POS into the accounting software. Now we have way better control over our inventory, and we get regular monthly financial reporting that helps us understand where our business is at. We couldn't have gotten this far without their help! Prior to hiring them we were hand writing our receipts...they helped us into the 21st century!
