Every time I took my vehicle to the DEALERSHIP, my oil change was free, but I still ended up paying $200-$300 for extra maintenance. The last straw was when the Dealership said they didn’t have to follow the Alberta law, which prohibits unnecessary work, because the service agreement was with them, not the manufacturer. They wanted me to have work done, that wasn’t even recommended for my vehicle. Then they told me it would cost $500 to replace the air cabin filter.
I asked for recommendations for a mechanic on the Next Door Neighbour website. Several different people recommended Access Auto, and said they have been going there for 10+ years. I am so glad I listened. Rob and Gina are amazing. I have been taking my vehicle to Access Auto for several years, and I now recommend them to others. It is so very refreshing and reassuring to have an honest mechanic. After I was involved in a significant car accident, Rob helped me fight my insurance company to get the proper mechanical AC repairs. He NEVER does any mansplaining, and is always willing to show you the parts from your vehicle, so you can see the exact damage. A picture says a thousand words, you can truly understand the associated costs when you see your vehicle missing the entire front dash, steering wheel, front seats and console. It was not a small job to remove the entire front interior of my vehicle to replace a heater core.
Rob, tells you what your vehicle needs… and why you need it. I don’t mind paying for something extra, if there is justification for it. I never feel judged or pressured into any maintenance or repairs. All of their staff are great. Miguel works at the front desk, and is super friendly and easy to talk to.
First time checking out a new automotive service. Am very impressed with the attention, customer service and authentic interactions with a place that knows their stuff, are attentive to their customers and genuinely enjoy their expertise meeting the needs of their customers. First time for me, and will come back for excellent service, reasonable prices and you don't get this kind of CV innection and customer best interest.
