“When I brought my Shiba Inu puppy to Bow River Veterinary Clinic for the first time, I was a little apprehensive. This is my third Shiba Inu and visits to the vet had not been happy events with the first two. The receptionists were very friendly to me and the puppy and let me take the puppy on a sniffing tour of the clinic half an hour before our appointment. Later we came back for the appointment and again all the staff were gentle, friendly and helpful. After Dr. Maclise had done a gentle check of the puppy’s whole body, she told me about the inoculations the puppy would receive, distracted her with a lick pad and performed the innoculations so quickly and smoothly my puppy did not seem to be completely aware of what had happened. She also rapidly demonstrated how to cut the nails on one paw. When the breeder had tried to show me this, it had elicited the famous Shiba scream. By comparison, the slight yip as the vet clipped the last nail on the paw was barely noticeable. After providing several helpful answers to my questions I headed home with a happy, relaxed puppy. Wow! Impressive! Great service and a special deal for puppy visits and spay/neuter as well.”
