I’m very short, so all of my clothes need alterations. I used to do my own alterations, and although mine looked fine, the backside was messy. About 3 years ago, I ordered an expensive wool coat, on sale - so I couldn’t return it. It was supposed to be for short women, but it wasn’t. The quality of the coat was beautiful, so I was heartbroken that it didn’t fit. I took a chance, and had Airdrie Alterations fix the collar, alter the sleeves, take it in at the waist, and shorten it a few inches. I was hoping it would look ok, but I really didn’t expect much. I was shocked (in a good way), with how beautiful the alterations were. The fit was perfect, and I couldn’t see where the coat had been altered.

Last week, I took 3 pairs of pants in, to be altered. 2 of the pairs were dress pants, with elastic waists. I had serious abdominal surgery, so I need a waist that doesn’t put pressure on the surgical site. I hadn’t worn the pants very often, but the original elastic had deteriorated. After the alterations, I took them home, and they looked perfect! I struggle with elastic, so I was thrilled. The third pair were stretchy jean material. The fabric is soft and beautiful. The hem looks just like the original, and the waist is perfectly done. I’m so grateful for the beautiful job they’ve done.
