These are caring, well-informed practitioners who support our "herbal ways" as much as traditional medicine. We are always grateful for the support and care we and our horses get at Mountain View.

We are new to Virginia. When our baby horse got seriously injured another vet gave us as a best case "little hope of recovery and worst case euthanasia". They recommended stall rest, icing Prozac and butte. The baby did not want any of it and was really playing up in the stall. So after 24 hours we decided to let her out. She was on no meds at all, but was happy to be out and not in any pain. In fact she learned to move around on three legs pretty well. After a few weeks she had plateaued so we sought out a second opinion from another vet who was recommended by a new friend. She is not taking on new clients, but agreed to take a look.
