So my mom's been coming here since they first opened at their original location in 1990. I think that speaks volumes about what sets this place apart from other nail salons - the warmth and friendliness of the owner & staff (most of whom have been working with Mary for decades). They regard their clients as friends and all the staff I've had appointments with are genuinely kind. Often this friendly atmosphere spreads to the clients, and you can end up having a nice little convo with a stranger sitting near you! While visiting Houston from Ohio, I was looking for a chemical free nail salon for a pedicure and gel manicure. I found Nails By Mary on Yelp and called to see if there were any appointments available. I was pleasantly surprised there was an opening on a Saturday morning! The building was easy to find with plenty of parking. Mary, the friendly owner, met me at the door and made sure I felt welcome. My appointment started right on time. Mary and staff seem to have long-time, loyal clients which made for a warm, relaxed environment. I received great service and the prices are very reasonable!
