While making my rounds in Houston I've had the opportunity to run into Bugsy and who winded up purchasing two sets of all 5 of the Third Eye Awakening books. I got a chance to see him give some of his customers hair cuts, and do what barbers do which is more than just provide cuts. In the Black community barber shops are where the fellas go to talk about community and personal issues. Bugsy just doesn't cut Black hair, and so he has a diverse customer base.

I needed to get a haircut on short notice and my regular gal wasn't available, so I searched for 'short haircut top rated near me' and Bugsy popped up. I wasn't sure it was a good fit until I saw a photo of the exact cut I wanted in the customer photos - That's when I knew I'd be fine. I booked in right away for the soonest appt.I went to the old address instead of the new one on Richmond (shared building with Outlines) but it was super close so it was fine. I wasn't prepared for my haircut to start an hour after my appt time, but I've learned that's normal in some barbershops. If you're in a hurry, this might not be the right place for you.
