Just had my first appointment, everyone from the door guard, the receptionist, the nurse, the doctor were all super kind and helpful. Completely broke my stereotype of the VA being useless.
I have got gout In both feet both Knees and left wrist and hand. If I am lucky on the good days yet the pain will only be 4 to 5 on the worst days 8 to 9 This has been going on since August 15th 2021 I'm eating the right foods I'm eating things that help fight gout Also taking tart cherry juice, A cup of pineapple A-day, raisins And drinking lots of water. Nothing seems to helpIs my feet knees and Left wrist have been x-rayed but they say nothing shows. I'm taking the smallest dose of allopurinol Because a larger dose is affecting my kidneys. So I guess right now it's just a wait And see hopefully it'll run its course and maybe it'll go away maybe.
The only reason I rate it at four stars is the absence of our sitting President and Vice President displayed on the honor photo wall. In every VA I have been in since 1974 a photo of our sitting President and Vice President has been proudly displayed. Why not now? Is the VA in Muncie Indiana making a passive political statement? It was good however, not to see Fox News on the lobby TV.
