Great experience. Went for lunch. Both the wife and I had wraps for lunch. She had turkey and bacon and I had ham and cheese. They come with chips. Both were loaded with meats and cheese. And the hospitality shown by Mary our bartender and Ms. Holly our bar manager makes the American Legion Post #5 a great place to spend your free time.
We have been there several times to enjoy the newly available Sunday breakfast/brunch. They have a menu that would rival Denny's. The food and service are very good and unless they are crowded the kitchen is quick. If you are a member or a guest of a member you can enjoy a awesome Bloody Mary with your brunch.
This is a review of just the public restaurant portion. It's probably the best food in Mount Vernon. Always fresh from the kitchen, well prepared and very reasonably priced. Texas Tenderloin and Ribeye sandwich are always great.
