David Erickson's Wood Doctors Repair & Restoration is an absolute mastershop. I am only too lucky to live in the same part of the US that they're located, right across the East end bridge. Erickson's woodworking expertise (and the expertise of his sons, who he mentored himself as they grew up) is remarkable. My wife's heirloom rocking chair, weathered by time and generations of neglect, was perfectly restored here. True craftsmanship. I have been around antiques all of my life. I have seen really good repairs and really bad repairs but I have never seen better repairs. My family piece was damaged in shipping and I despaired. Fortunately I found The Wood Doctors. Amazing workmanship and they stayed in contact with me throughout the whole project. Very reasonably priced for the quality of work.
