“I was introduced to Andrew by a friend who dubbed him as nothing short of magical. After experiencing his expertise firsthand, I couldn't agree more. Andrew's mastery of the human body and its intricacies truly feels like a kind of magic.I've been to other specialists for my chronic upper back and neck pain, but Andrew is different. He focuses on treating the actual problem, not just masking the symptoms. For the first time, I walked out of an acupuncture session and went back to exercising without feeling any pain. It was a game-changer. I feel as if I've been given a brand new back. Honestly, I never thought a life without back pain was possible until now. While I was also working with Andew some other health issues came up that couldn’t be diagnosed by western medicine. His thoughtful and holistic approach immediately made me feel understood and valued. Throughout our sessions, he would patiently explain the various points he was working on or the sensations I was experiencing, shedding light on what was going on internally within my body. Thanks to him, I now have a deeper appreciation for how imbalances in one area can send ripples throughout the entire system. He was able to find the root cause, guiding me slowly but surely on the path to recovery.I feel blessed to have met Andrew, he really has changed my life and I’m grateful for that.“

“Highly recommend going here for acupuncture, I live on the East Coast and I am an acupuncturist myself and pulled my back out on the flight. I looked around for trigger point/dry needling/sports medicine acupuncturist so I am so happy I found Chris. I am feeling so much better after one treatment and I’m recommending to family in the area. Thank you!“

“I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Dr. Yotive. She is full of knowledge and always seems to have allotted time to check in with me and to evaluate how I am doing in my life and she aligns the care/acupuncture accordingly. My body was quite out of wack due to stress and other life factors when I initially began treatment with her. Since I have been receiving care from Dr. Yotive my body has really started to come into balance which is a huge relief for me.I look forward to each acupuncture session as much as I would look forward to a massage because I always leave feeling so refreshed and revived. I highly recommend anyone thinking of trying acupuncture to go and see Dr. Yotive.“

“When I was pregnant I somehow developed frozen shoulder in both shoulders. Not only was it incredibly painful, I wasn’t able to sleep on my side which you’re supposed to do as the baby gets bigger (sleeping on your back can lead to risks when the baby is big), so I was really anxious for my shoulders to heal and I wasn’t making any progress with just doing PT on my own. I saw Julian as I had seen him previously for a ski injury and my knee healed well under Julian’s PT support. Julian not only had me do exercises but also did hands on manipulation of my shoulders — the sessions were super painful but after a few sessions I could feel the difference and my shoulders were gaining mobility. Julian’s dry humor helped lighten the mood and the PT assistants were great at adjusting to my needs in helping me do exercises and ice afterwards. It’s more expensive than other PTs and out of network with my insurance but so worth it — each 1 hour session here was so much more valuable than 2 30 min sessions at another practice. After a few months of sessions with him combined with massage therapy, I was healed just in time for my third trimester of pregnancy. I’m so grateful to Julian for what he did to accelerate my healing, and will go back for any other PT needs“

“Dr. Adolfo is incredible! My friend referred me as I had been looking for a good chiropractor for quite some time now. I've tried a few in the East Bay and they didn't quite work out.First, Dr Adolfo assesses where you might be feeling pain or discomfort. He puts together a plan for you through adjustments and exercises that can help. For me, I've had a lot of shoulder and neck pain. He even went through asking me what kind of pillow I was using.Once I got into maintenance mode, I stop by whenever my schedule allows and he adjusts me. My body just feels amazing after. My neck and back are adjusted and you can feel the tension release when you hear the crack. His care is amazing but his staff is just as amazing! Corinne is the nicest person you will ever meet. She's super accommodating to try to find an appointment that meets your schedule whether you call or email.Again, if you are looking for one of the best Bay Area chiropractors, you don't need to look any further! Super new office and location with plenty of street parking.“

FitWell Chiropractic Sports Medicine Sports Medicine

“Fitwell Chiropractic has been my savior! When I was diagnosed with sciatica at age 50 my doctor sent me to see these incredible sports medicine experts so they could tailor my rehab and exercise to my very active lifestyle. I didn't have a sports injury but they helped me heal & rehab through prescribed activity (so I didn't need to go to a PT) and I got stronger than ever while healing! They also taught me how to prevent reoccurrence. Being in my late 50s now, I've contended with various issues -- radiculitis, broken foot, knee strain, back pain -- and I always feel relief even after one visit. The primary technique they use (Active Release) feels amazing! They really listen and explain everything and it's all very easy to understand. Dr Mae Li is brilliant, funny, and extremely effective. (I'm always a little sad when she says I don't need to come back.) I also worked with Dr Lisa Covey for a long time and she is equally amazing, compassionate, and tenacious. I'd recommend these women to anyone in a heartbeat. It's a joy to visit their office!“

“Kevin is incredible! I discovered him through recommendation of a friend who claimed he fixed her knees before heading into her first 100K ultra run. I decided to visit heading into some big off road bike races of the year. Every visit I walked away feeling like my entire body could finally absorb all the hard work I'd put in. Kevin is professional, super talented, listens well to his clients, and provide phenomenal service. I recently moved over an hour away and I still come to visit because I haven't found anyone as good as Kevin.“

Natasha Barnes Sports Medicine & Rehab Sports Medicine

“Natasha is brilliant and saved my shoulder. I injured my right shoulder in the gym doing a shouldery gaston move. It hurt like hell and I spent the following year going to 3 different physical therapists trying to recover. All of them told me to stop climbing and stop using the shoulder. Things got so bad to where I couldn't even brush my hair or chop lettuce. A year after the injury I saw a surgeon hoping that he'd have some answers. He ordered an MRI which showed a healthy shoulder, so he gave me the "there's not really anything we can do for you, try going back to physical therapy".I was pretty devastated and depressed, having lost a year of climbing, not able to use my right arm without pain, and no one able to help me. I posted on instagram asking if anyone had any advice and multiple people reached out saying Natasha Barnes could help. I hadn't thought about talking to a climbing specific rehab person, but I'm so glad I did.Natasha explained what was going on with my shoulder, why NOT using it over the last year made it even weaker, and gave me a program to get my shoulder back on track. I was climbing within a couple weeks of that first call with her. And here I am today, almost a year after connecting with her, and I'm climbing better than I ever have in my life. My only regret was not finding Natasha earlier! Seriously, if you have an injury that has been bothering you for a while, stop reading this review and just go book a call with her. She's an angel sent to us by the climbing gods.“

“Dr. Akizuki was highly recommended to us by a dear old family friend who is an amazing orthopedic surgeon at Cedars Sinai in LA. He literally said "if I had to have that type of surgery [knee surgery], there's no one else that I would trust besides Dr. Akizuki..." This spoke volumes to us as we know our friend has numerous friends and colleagues (that are also drs) that he thinks very highly of. Dr Akizuki operated on both knees of our 15 year old son who had pretty serious knee surgery at 10 years old while playing soccer and had been doing Brazilian jiu jitsu since he was 3. He previously suffered from cracked cartilage, torn ACL and a torn meniscus at 10 years old when he had the 1st knee surgery with another dr. So when our son expressed that he had been experiencing pain for more than 1 year (since he started his freshman year of high school) and conveyed that even walking caused great discomfort, Dr. Akizuki worked very well with our son, was highly knowledgeable, very encouraging, kind, humorous, efficient, and just an all around awesome doctor. It has been 4 months since Dr. Akizuki operated on both of our son's knees and we can't even begin to express just how thankful we are to Dr. Akizuki for giving our son his quality of life back. Bright, active, without constant prolific pain, our son is doing really well! Dr. Akizuki has been such a blessing to us! Thank you to Dr. Akizuki and the staff!!!“

“I’ve been getting care from Dr. Allie for quite some time now, and what I love about her approach is how she doesn’t just adjust me, but she provides me with bodywork and prescribes me physical therapy exercises, too. Her approach is comprehensive and I’m getting better results from it. I’ve been getting chiropractic care for well over a decade, and Dr.Allie’s approach is a notch above the rest. Thank you, Dr. Allie!“

“Scarpelli & Associates provide highly skilled and individualized care. Unlike some places, you won't be seen by a less experienced PT assistant for your care, only by very experienced and knowledgeable PTs who will assess your specific needs. All of the PTs are experts in manual therapy, which is so critical for regaining function (in conjunction with a specially tailored home exercise program). I have been to places where you just feel like the next person in an assembly line given the same treatment as everyone else whether or not it's what your body needs. That doesn't happen here. Also, the front desk staff are always very friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!“
