I began with solo training sessions for a year before my fiance starting joining me for partner sessions. The training regiments are “custom fit” to your needs, so in my two years there we have focused on core strength and lower back mobility while also getting in a full body workout. “I've been doing semiprivate Muay Thai classes with Dr. Lin for a few months, and they're great!He obviously brings a *ton* of expertise to his instruction, but since he's also a physical therapist and a generally cool dude, the classes avoid the macho "fight culture" attitude that turned me off martial arts after studying tae kwon do for about 10 years. Although he's great about pushing you to expand your limits, he never does so in a way that's demeaning or negative, and he's very cognizant about creating an environment that's safe both culturally -- nobody's pushed into a sparring situation where they could get hurt -- and physically, because he understands the body in a deeper way than the average martial artist.He's also very communicative and helpful about appointments and scheduling!“

“When I first moved to the area a few years ago, I was tentatively excited when I saw that there was a promising-looking weightlifting gym so close to my new place. A couple hundred visits later (but who's counting?) I am happy to report that Bay Strength is by far the most supportive and inclusive environment I could imagine for anyone looking to lift for the first time, or just trying to escape the weird vibes & preening egos that so often suffuse big commercial gyms.All of the coaches are friendly and expert at tailoring their guidance to your goals and experience level. Notably too, all of the gym's co-owners are also coaches, and the pride they take in what they've built is evident, as is the care they take to maintain the gym's low-key, welcoming culture. They are also just very real; there's no pressured upselling or complicated membership tiers -- they truly just want to work with you individually or in small groups to help you get stronger. You can lift heavy things at other places, sure, but your chances of both enjoying it and sticking with it are way higher at Bay Strength than anywhere else I can think of.“

I saw my confidence and overall fitness soar over just five months of regular attendance. Kudos to the Flagship team for building such a fun, friendly, and inclusive space (their claim about having the friendliest coaches is true).It's also true that it's the most expensive fitness membership I've ever held, and Flagship's excellent coaches — Jon, Zach, Nikki, and Anaïs — and flexible memberships team have made it an *investment* worth every penny for me. Facilities are clean and well-maintained; personalized attention and safety has been central to every class I've attended.Dog-lovers would be well-advised to take Zach's morning classes, who also has impeccable class music selections :)“

“Anthony provides a friendly, non judgmental atmosphere to work out in and reach your personal fitness goals. He tailors the workout to your goals whatever they may be - weight loss, general fitness, gaining muscle, etc. Clientele includes a wide variety of ages and training experience from beginner to intermediate. Workouts are done in small batches of 3 people during each time slot - so no waiting for machines, and you get personalized attention from Anthony. Workouts are circuit style, and Anthony can also tailor them on the fly depending on your current needs. The session lasts between 30-45 mins. You feel accountable to Anthony and the peer group you train with, and everyone pushes and encourages everyone else to train hard. You will leave exhausted but happy. If you're having trouble committing to a regular gym schedule, this environment is very conducive to developing a good gym habit. The health, fitness and confidence you gain from this affects every aspect of your life, so the cost seems insignificant for the benefits you reap. Anthony offers a free workout session where you can try out 1 day, and it's a nice way to test if you like it. I can't recommend Anthony highly enough - this will change your life.“

NICOLE GARLIT ** WHY I CAME IN: From the outside I look "fine" but I've been dealing with upper back and neck pain for about 15 years; I had back surgery which resulted in muscle spasms, been in two car accidents, commute to work about 5 hours in a car round-trip, and this all resulted to a lot of painful tightness in my upper back up to my neck. 2024 I made it my resolution to fix my back issues so I can continue my active lifestyle of biking, hiking, weight-lifting, backpacking, etc. My fittness goals this year are to fix my twisting squat, do a pull up, and get back my range of motion + posture. I am SO HAPPY to have Dr. Nicole Garlit in my corner! I booked using her website (www.NicoleGarlitPT.com) and that is where my exciting journey begins! DR. NICOLE GARLIT: Dr.Nicole Garlit is so well rounded - she's extremely thoughtful, thorough, and is focused on your goal. I have never been more carefully examined which also showed me how determine she was to finding the right next steps and treatment for me. I was worried about my range-of-motion so she even measured my movements and rechecked it at the end of our session. She gave me the BEST neck crack which felt so free-ing, even days later. I have been to many other Dr.s, Chrio's, Cupping/Reiki people lol, to find any kind of relief for my back but the exercises that Dr.Nicole Garlit assigned to me has truly made such a HUGE difference in my day-to-day. After the first night I did my exercises, I felt a big difference in my back the following day during my 5 hour commute to work + throughout my work day. She is a great listener, very passionate and intentional about her questions and treatment. If you go to her, you will feel cared for and leave not only with relief but also with the tools and new knowledge to continue your journey. She also has a new PT Instagram! @DrNicoleGarlit (attaching some awesome screenshots from there!) THE OFFICE: The space is so clean, modern, spacious and looks like a really nice personal gym. Towards the back leads to an open office area where your session/examination/treatment will take place. PARKING: The studio/office is right next door to a Core Power Studio. Parking was super easy as right across is a big parking lot (it's the parking lot behind Mijori Sushi) OVERALL: - I am sooo impressed with Dr. Nicole Garlit - You will receive a VERY well rounded experience consisting of a careful examination, treatment, and really helpful "homework" (aka exercises to keep doing at home) - I continue to feel more relief even days after my appointment - The studio space is so nice, clean, open, and modern! I was definitely eye-ing the In Body Machine haha - Lastly, I can't wait for my next visit with Dr. Nicole Garlit :-)“

“I began training with Abu in 2022 however our work together was cut short by a family tragedy. I came to him in October of 2023 with a specific goal in mind. I needed to get fit for a week of skiing in Canada planned for the last week of January 2024. Prior to getting started, Abu patiently listened as I explained that I was prepared to push myself to get in maximum shape. He outlined a program of skiing related exercises, gradually increasing the intensity, to have me peak for my trip. The compact facility is well equipped. His ability to explain and illustrate movements is extraordinary. I feel he intuitively senses the fine line between asking me for more and recognizing when I have reached exhaustion. He gave me routines to do between sessions with a caution to "not overtrain". The last month included three weeks of high volume rotations (strength, balance, agility, speed, etc.). The final week we tapered to the finish. When I boarded the plane the next day, I knew I was ready. Abu is incredibly knowledgeable and can be a stern taskmaster when needed. He is also warm, funny and welcoming. Training With Abu is a great joy! I highly recommend his services to anyone; from a person reengaging with fitness to dedicated athletes looking to move up to the Next Level.“

As someone who has studied ballet since childhood and practices yoga, working out on FitSprings lets me strengthen without being tight and heavy, and builds flexibility and my quick-twitch muscles while keeping my joints and muscles happy, healthy, and well-stimulated. (Never strained -- ever.) There isn't another workout that compares. I just attended Jill's teacher training this weekend, and the possibilities with this equipment are truly endless. I can't praise or recommend Jill Harris and FitSprings enough.“
