Last year I went to another dental office based on glowing yelp reviews only to find out the reviews were incentivized and had an overall terrible experience (anything but zen). Needless to say I was skeptical of all the positive reviews but needed a new dentist and thought I'd give it a shot. I am so glad I did! I was taken well care of by Dr. Smith and team from the moment I stepped foot. Everything they did was thoughtful and clearly focused on the patients comfort. I think I found my forever dentist!

I am sharing my following experience as a first time implant patient and how Dr. Michael Nguyen has made it all worthwhile during my 1/10/2023 appointment. After my tooth developed an infection in August 2023, Dr. Nguyen patiently walked me through my treatment choices, and consequences of each, to help me decide together with him which route I'd like to take. I truly appreciated his transparency and compassionate explanations. I decided to try to save the tooth by seeing a root canal specialist first, but my tooth had non-healing crack and so tooth extraction and implant was my next step. Along the way, Dr. Nguyen has explained to me in layman terms of how the implant process would be like with photos from books and from other patients. In doing so, Dr. Nguyen has given me a chance to familiarize and understand the process and at the same time set my expectations properly. On 1/10/2023, I have arrived early in the morning for the procedure. Dr. Nguyen has asked if I have had any breakfast to minimize the impact of a long procedure on my diabetic condition. From the time of local anesthesia injection to the extraction and implant, Dr. Nguyen has always kept me informed of what and how his next steps would be and has adjusted his steps to make sure that I could be as comfortable as much as possible. At the end, Dr. Nguyen took many photos to show me how my implant looks like and to show me how to take care of it in the next few weeks and months. He called that night to ask how I was doing with the pain medication and kept following up since then. Implant is definitely not a walk in the park but with a caring and patient doctor, I have felt that I could put my trust in Dr. Nguyen to guide me through the process without much anxiety and fear. I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen for his highly skilled implant techniques and more importantly as a caring doctor who has always put his patients' comforts and best interest above everything else.
