Petcare by Caroline Pet Boarding Training

“Caroline and her team took exceptional care of our pets while my husband and I were away for a whopping four weeks. They sent us consistent updates, even while we were out of the country. From the photos and videos they shared, and the general demeanors of our dog and two cats upon our return, it is clear they cared for the trio as if they were their own pets. We are grateful for their attentive care and for helping us keep peace of mind while we were away. We look forward to working with Petcare by Caroline in the future!“

Dog Gone Happy Pet Boarding Training

“I can’t say enough good things about Dog Gone Happy! The staff is amazing!! Every single person that works there is a phenomenal human being that truly loves the doggos in their care. Our German Shepherd, Levi, has been going to doggy daycare at DGH a few times a week for almost a year. He’s anxious and a bit reactive with other dogs so he doesn’t do group play but the staff does individual play with him. Levi gets so much attention and love from everyone there. Levi gets boarded at DGH too; he was just there for 9 days while we were out of town. I didn’t worry about him while we were gone because I knew he was well taken care of. We also utilize DGH’s spa services. It saves us so much time booking him for a bath and nail trim while he’s already there for daycare or boarding and their prices are competitive. We love getting the occasional photo of him; you can see how much he is enjoying himself.“

BORDEAUX CANINE LLC Pet Boarding Training

“We recently used Tim/Bordeaux Canine for a Board and Train for our 10month old puppy Belle and are so happy we did. Tim is so knowledgeable and patient, and talked our family through the whole process. He kept us updated with photos and videos, and we even got to visit our girl at his house during her time away. Before training I spent more time chasing after and cleaning up after the puppy than I did my 4 kids ?. We are so grateful we found and used Bordeaux Canine and will recommend him to anyone.Pictures: Before Training with Bordeaux(Belle with the Dustpan) and After ( Belle calm and relaxed in her ‘place’)“

“The support staff is knowledgable and friendly. Dr. Morgan was thorough and caring. My only frustration was the wait for my scheduled appointment to start. My first appointment was at 4pm; I was not shown into a room until almost 4:15pm, and Dr. Morgan did not come in until 4:35pm or 4:40pm.“

Training Your Best Friend LLC Pet Boarding Training

“Such a Pleasure! Christie was great to work with during the public manners classes. We first tried basic class but found it wasnt best fit for Charlie, she allowed us to move over which worked out great and could recognize it was better match for him and his current manners. I also appreciate she helps teach you working with your best friend directly, as I admit I had faults that likely got in the way more than anything trying to communicate with him. We will be back soon for next fall classes. We are very proud of our little graduate =).“

“Newfs can be challenging to groom, so I put a lot of effort into finding a place with experience with them. Tango gets taken great care of here :) He was back again today, and I even brought my sister's dogs in. They all look so clean and beautiful! I also appreciate how much the employees seem to genuinely love dogs. They were quite busy today, but still kind, sweet, and able to give us full reports on each dog. Highly recommend! I won't go anywhere else.“

“My little Bobby is a "patient" at Six Forks Animal Hospital since almost 6 years. I brought him there when he was just 7 weeks old. The veterinarians and their stuff are taking excellent care of him. Together, we pushed through the Covid problems and are now enjoying to going back there without the restrictions. Thank you so much for taking care of my "furry baby".“

Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital at Longview Pet Boarding Training

“Update. 2 stars added for the amazing after service attention. Dr. Clements went above and beyond to change my perspective. I do still disagree with an X-ray being the first line test for suspected UTI but I cannot deny that I'm sure the fast and caring measures taken by oak heart saved my puppies life. I never said that I wasn't satisfied with the care provided. It was the superfluous testing and charges that was upsetting. The charges by the south saunders location was my biggest problem and Dr Clements even helped to resolve that issue!Thank you Dr Clements!I had my husband bring our neonate puppy in for a UTI. When I called to make the appointment I explained everything that was going on. I was very grateful to get a same day appointment for a new patient especially since an infection in a neonatal pup is life threatening. I was unable to take her myself because I work nights and I was between shifts. The vet decided to do x-rays first, before a urinalysis or CBC or even a visual inspection of her urine that had blood in it. The reason he did this was because she had a rapid respiratory rate. Now I have medical knowledge because I am a critical care nurse but my husband doesn't have the same advantage. The vet knew he was pulling a fast one on my husband because the basics of signs of infection are fever, rapid heart rate and a rapid respiratory rate (all of which she had because she had a BLADDER INFECTION). The x-ray was $256 and should have never been the first line test when the puppy was brought in for suspected UTI.But wait... There's more. On top of the exam and labs and X-rays that totaled $548, my husband was told that her prognosis was "guarded" (I was on speaker phone and heard this myself) and it was recommended that she be taken over to the Oak Heart hospital on South Saunders St for 24-36 hours of care with IV antibiotics and fluids. He made it sould like her chances of survival were very low without hospitalization at the South Saunders location. Oak Heart on South Saunders St charged almost $900 for about 12 hours of care. There was never IV or even sub Q antibiotics or fluids and they didn't do anything different from what could have been done at home for free. In their words "we really didn't do anything".I'm grateful for a positive outcome with my puppy and that she was able to be seen and treated quickly. All the staff were very nice and seemed genuinely interested in bringing my pup back to full health. I just feel that we were grossly overcharged and any lack of medical knowledge was exploited in order to add on extra tests and fees.I give 1 star for the fast service. I give another star for positive attitudes and caring environment. They lose 3 stars for predatory charges.“

“Found a pretty bedraggled, starving, scared pup who was almost hit on I95 on a Saturday evening. Eyes swollen, ear issues, covered with scratches. Ended up at Oak Heart, after issues with another local vet office. Entire staff was outstanding. Actually met with the two Vets on duty, who were both professional and cared what happens.Even if it isn't one of your 'family' - bring your pet-pal here. They will be taken care of well. My thanks to the entire staff for making a bad situation turn out great.“

“From the first day we brought Luna home until the day we said good bye, Dr Jon and his staff took great care of our sweet girl over the last 17 years. They are kind, compassionate and love your babies like their own. The wait times are long at times but the quality of care they offer makes it worth it. They have recently re-done the interior and the updates look great.“
