I had been going to Hiemstra in Paw Paw for several years and had no complaints. When it was time for a new pair of frames I thought I would save money by going to a different place. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" is correct. The new glasses never fit correctly and I went back 3 times to the cheaper place to try to resolve it. I decided to ask Hiemstra if they could help. Mike in Paw Paw was gracious enough to basically rebuild my frames from the cheaper place. He cut the arms to a proper length, fixed the lenses so they did not keep falling out and acutally made the glasses wearable. Went here for the first time 2 years ago. (August 2021) Doc was great. She was informative as this was my first ever eye exam. Glasses were finished within 2 weeks.2nd time here not so great. (July 2022) i went for a contact exam. the doc I saw was a male. Very weird guy. Just wasn't the right match for me. Not sure how it happened but he gave me the wrong script for my contacts.Yesterday was my 3rd time here and I saw Ashley Cyriac OD. She was amazing!! Explained everything in detail. Asked plenty of questions and made sure I had room to ask her questions. Fixed my script and sent me on my way. Gave me some contacts to try out. I visited this office today for the first time. I was very happy with my experience. Dr. Morrison was very thorough in getting the prescription correct, and also checking on the health of my eyes. He was kind and knowledgeable. I was very happy with the selection of glasses to choose from, and Crystal was very helpful. She gave me space to browse and gave me very helpful suggestions to make my final decision. Everyone I interacted with was wonderful! I can’t wait to get my new glasses and sunglasses! Highly recommend
