Massage in Moraga

“This review is very long overdue. I first had a massage at Shape Shifters earlier this year, then started attending yoga, and then a special combo treatment (we would do some body work and some physical movement). Terra helped me SO much .. I was/am healing from a few car accidents, and her super knowledge of the body was a huge asset to me. I had been "out" of working out for a very long time because of my accidents, and with Terra's guidance, gradually got back into yoga earlier this year, and now am happy to say that despite moving across the country and no longer being able to attend Shape Shifters, I'm able to do yoga poses I was unable to do before, and in the gym lifting weights! I cannot tell you how huge this is for me - and I really credit Terra for a big part of the shift I needed to get here. She is incredible! And supported by great masseuses as well. Also love the creams she has. I would recommend her and the studio to anyone looking for a supportive environment to work out (yoga or pilates) and/or who needs body work... and especially to anyone who was like me and wanted a combination of those things! “I had my first massage at Total Reflexology Studio recently, which was so enjoyable that I went back again a few days later. I got a 60-minute foot massage both times, and both were heavenly. The massage starts with a hot water soak for your feet while your face and scalp get a mini massage. The rest of the hour is focused on your tootsies and legs. Pretty sure I fell asleep both times, which is partly because the chair is sooo squishy and comfy. All this for a very reasonable $50. I saw another reviewer who wasn't thrilled about the fact that the massage therapists answer the phone during your massage. That's true - if both therapists are working at the same time, one of them will answer incoming calls. It's at most slightly distracting, but given that this is a very small operation and (again) low cost, it didn't seem unreasonable or objectionable to me.“

“Raina is an absolute gem!! She is the lead esthetician and has an excellent and extensive knowledge in all things skin and even a med spa background. I drive 35 mins to see her and she is always so accommodating which makes it easy to get in with her despite my busy schedule and the commute. I go to her for all my skin care needs & trust all her product recommendations - she has transformed my skin from combo oily/dry flaky and acne prone to smooth and glowy! I finally feel confident with my skin even without makeup on. I have gone to her for facials, chemical peels, & the latest oxygen therapy for my skin. Even in times where I haven't been able to come in- I am still able to maintain my skin and keep it beautiful with the medical grade skin care she has recommended me & have been able to purchase in store with her so she can walk me through the every day essentials and weekly at home treatments for my skin. When I step into her facial room I am instantly relaxed- she is very clean & organized down to every detail from lighting to a heating pad already warm for me to lay on. She describes every step in detail and educates me on why she is doing what she is doing and what the products are doing for my skin. Raina is my esthetician for life! Lol. I wish I could book my future appointments ahead of time for the whole year or even just 6 weeks in advance- but unfortunately the scheduling is through the front desk and not Raina. I suggest pre-booking with Raina as far out as you can before you leave because her schedule books quickly in just a month's time.“
