This is the first review I've ever made, only because I feel like I need to give this place the appreciation it deserves. The guy running it may be the kindest soul I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I didn't want the haircut to end, only because his company was so relaxing. Oh, and he did a damn good job cutting my hair - it's clear that he takes great pride in his work. He was thorough, meticulous, and I loved every second of it.

Kermit's barber shop is a glimpse into Richmond's past. Listen to stories of the city's rich culture from a true native while Clapton plays on the sound system. This hidden gem is worth the excavation. I get my haircut here every time I come to Richmond and will continue to do so.

I'm new to Richmond, and was looking for a great barber shop. This is a classic old fashion shop! The barber takes tremendous pride in his craft; he takes his time and makes sure it's exactly what you want. I received an excellent hair cut. Make sure to bring cash ($18 + tip, as of May '17). It's can also be slightly challenging to find after parking your car, but the main thing is to know is it's through an outdoor gate through a set of stairs.
