It had been a while since I had been in TruTans (or any tanning salon) so going in (as an almost 40yr old) I was nervous about the staff and their knowledge of the beds, lotions, and process of tanning (I used to work a tanning salon so I tend to look for the proper way to do things). I was pleasantly surprised that the young lady there was on top of it! I asked questions, got my answers (some I already knew, some I didn't) and we chatted for a second while getting my products and bed ready. I enjoy the cleanliness and great personalities at the Troup Hwy location. It’s been extremely disappointing that this location has been closed and I can’t seem to get in touch with anyone that knows when they will be re-opening. I have had a great experience traveling over to the Bullard Road location and have NO complaints. I just live closer to the Troup Hwy location and really miss seeing everyone!! It’s been a really long time since I tanned at a salon. I have a trip to the beach coming up and wanted to get a head start. While visiting Tyler for the holidays I stopped by the Troup HWY location and was able to walk right in for an appointment. It was clean and the front desk girl was very helpful and walked me through my options for the time I was in town. I even picked up a few lotions for my girlfriend for Christmas!I would recommend trying TRU TAN…nice place.
