Found this place when my usual stylist was booked and I had a wonderful experience. Norma is so knowledgeable about hair and hair care and she did a fabulous job on my highlights and cut. I highly recommend Norma and Shear Genius salon.Service: Hairstyling

When I moved here I had trouble finding a salon and she fixed one bad haircut and when I went back with my husband to get his hair cut too. She doesn't kno how to cut men's hair at all. My husband left with half way done bc she kept using thinking shears and couldn't cut a straight line! With my cut had uneven lines in the back and when I finally found a great stylist he said "omg he cut ur hair last she did a horrible job it was all uneven in the back" would never recommend her to no one! Also she has conspiracy theory going on th TV along with very republican TV shows on all the time! Over charged me for a partial highlight with cut and a men's hair cut! She over charged me to learn how to cut a certain style and then screwed it up horribly!

I just moved to San Antonio and desperately needed a haircut. I had a really bad one before I moved and needed it to be fixed. I assumed I would have to cut some length off and was prepared for the worst. Norma fit me in on very short notice and she did so amazing! She didn't have to cut much of my length and she made my hair look wonderful! I got a huge confidence boost leaving her chair! Walking in the salon she was really friendly and welcomed me like I had been there several times before. The salon itself is so cute and cozy, and you just feel at home when you arrive. I am so relieved that I found my new stylist on the first try! Thank you Norma! I greatly appreciate you!

norma is an angel! ? i just moved here and am brand new to the area. i came to her salon with a very challenging color correction balayage. i had stripey, patchy, uneven hair from a previous stylist. norma completely transformed my hair! she is talented, kind, honest, and creates beautiful art when she styles hair. i left the salon looking and feeling absolutely gorgeous! i’m in love with my hair! i highly recommend visiting norma, you’ll fall in love with your hair and norma’s amazing personality! ? just look at these photos ✨

I was very pleased with my haircut and blow dry. Although I had to wait longer than I expected to be seen by Angelica, it was worth the wait. I appreciated that she didn't make repetitive comments about how thick my hair is. I get that a lot and it gets a bit annoying, specially when I'm at the hair salon. She took time to blow dry my hair and I absolutely loved it. While I was there I enjoyed reading the cute and funny signs they have as decor. I look forward to coming back!

While I did like my haircut services, simple trim and bangs, the stylist did not offer to straighten or style my hair so I had to do that when I got home to get the full effect of the haircut. Other than that, the salon had several passive aggressive signs about masks that I felt was unnecessary. On the door to the salon is the sign below.. which acknowledges the idea of choice but also is rude if you choose to wear one. Lower is the phrase "Let's Go Brandon". I decided to continue with my haircut because I really wanted one, and I do believe in putting politics aside, but these signs alone made me very hesitant. The salon design was very cute, but of course on the mirror is a mask that says "this mask is as useless as Biden" also were signs about inflation also blaming Biden. My biggest problem is again the passive aggressive nature of the mask signs. If you acknowledge the choice aspect then why have signs that make your costumer feel stupid for wearing one? Because of the immature nature of these signs, I will not be going back to this salon.

It is a cute place, however; not the place for me. When I arrived I had to wait almost 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. The cut it's self was not bad or horrible but the bangs were not what I was looking for. I was also told that a wash, dry and style was included and that was not the case. Sweet and cute place but again not for me. The biggest reason I didn't give 4 stars is because of the wait time.

Norma is the absolute best. She takes pride in her profession, no one will ever leave her chair with a disaster cut, color, style or anything. I went to her after another so called beautician butchered my hair with a layer that resembled a shelf and over 6 inches cut off. I was really worried I was going to just deal with it till it grew back. Nope Norma wouldn't let that happen. She took her time and was genuinely interested in what I wanted. I will never let anyone but her do my hair.Services: Hairstyling

Norma has the best personality and I think that’s very important. She understood everything I was saying to her and how I wanted my hair before I even said it. Furthermore she is very good at helping you choose a color for extensions and she’s extremely patient and she is very understanding. I’m definitely gonna be a client for life!Services: Hairstyling
