Horrendous Experience with Pronto Movers
I had the absolute misfortune of hiring Pronto Movers for my recent move, and I can confidently say it was the worst decision I have ever made. This company is nothing but a pack of cheats and liars who prey on unsuspecting customers.
From the start, their customer service was abysmal. They quoted me a reasonable price initially, but once my belongings were loaded onto the truck, the cost suddenly skyrocketed with hidden fees and additional charges that were never mentioned before. When I tried to question these absurd charges, I was met with rudeness and complete disregard for my concerns.
The entire moving process was a nightmare.The operations manager Mike is extremely rude and just wants to extract money from the customers.

Horrible - Horrible company.Deal was made with a set price with the list given top to bottom and up to 50 boxes as per invoice.Showed up in a smaller truck - which look shady - Broken left rear taillight. Lead person in the truck, 2 helpers in the house. I figured they had the list and could follow it.And also explained what was to grab and also where NOT to enter a specific room at the old place (ensuite) and at the new place (Furnace room due to animals scared)Helpers decided to help themselves to open all doors and such.Didn’t wrap much or protected a very expensive brand new leather couch that now has scratches and missing clip for the power wires.Ended up grabbing more than what was listed, had to make 2 trips due to smaller truck. Invoice went up $800 without ANY reasons. The lead person decided to hold our remaining items on *ransom* until the invoice was paid , as per his 2 helpers informed me when I was waiting for the reminder of the items.I am not their babysitter and should not of had to follow them around, that was the job of their lead. And there was so much more. Mike’s staff were not professional in any way. But the 2 helpers seemed really nice and trusted them. Fed them. Gave them drinks all day and even a tip.Only to find out that my wife’s solitaire ring was missing from the ensuite the next day. Called. Voicemail only. Would only respond via text eventually. By the end of the day… No answers to why…Sad part — trusted to much. Recommend by my real estate agent. And took a day off for it all. Yes the move was done ….Edit - Removed the staff names.

After another company cancelled same-day, Mike saved the day by sending Curt and Ali barely 90 minutes later. Curt and Ali were great: polite, funny, professional and had a hustle to them that was a work ethic, not a hasty-break-your-fragiles attitude. Having seen many other companies/employees dawdle during a move to gouge the client, receiving the velvet-glove treatment (especially after the first company cancelled) was an unexpected and refreshing denouement to my relocation. I will definitely be recommending Pronto, Mike, Ali and Curt!
