As a native Tar Heel, the Bicuits and Gravy in the restaurant was more fitting for Champs-Élysées in Paris than Raleigh NC!

Amazing. Amenities, location, and staff are incredible. Class Act destination filled with professional staff. Corey was incredibly kind and welcoming - he made our stay extra nice and we'll definitely be back because of him. I was absolutely blown away by this hotel! Clean, friendly staff, delicious drinks, and food. I could go on and on. The area is amazing as well. Highly recommend this place! Thanks again, Corey! You're the BEST!!

This is a beautiful hotel and the views are stunning! The deluxe rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was quite good. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful too.The location was so convenient to just about everything. Lots of restaurants nearby and close to the Crabtree Valley Mall.We stayed here twice and would definitely stay again.

Over the phone they are nice. In person I felt unwelcome. I ordered my room online since the presidential suite wasn’t available. Always a dream to stay here. I arrived at 3pm to check in only to be told there was a linen shortage and my room wasn’t available. I left my number to be contacted when room was ready. After waiting 3 hours with no word I finally called back. They apologized and told me there was a room available for me. Upon my arrival I was told Once Again that my room was NOT available. I was told to get a complementary drink from the bar. Long story short, I ended up getting charged for my drink. Finally got a room with my minimal request of a balcony and a tub. Got to the room and the balcony didn’t open although I was told it should. I was also told that $50 would be taken from my room charge, however, instead I was charged $50 extra on my card. By 8pm, I was beyond frustrated and lost all patience. I just requested a refund and went elsewhere. I must not be the type of person they wanted in their hotel. Will not return and will NOT recommend. No reason any hotel should have anybody waiting to check in at 8pm after spending over $300 for a room for just one night. Highly disappointed and I stay in hotels and Airbnb all the time.

Jean is wonderful! She acknowledged my Bonvoy Elite Status and upgraded me during my birthday stay to a very nice room. The staff at the Renaissance is exceptional and I definitely plan on returning for a future stay!

Place is just OK. Small bar/dining. No room service. Caters to biz travelers from what I can see. Most resteraunts around the area close at 10. Game 6 NBA finals. Get last call at lobby bar at 10 minutes to 9 (Eastern) before game even starts. Direct me to a Fox and Hound. Lol. Pretends to be a nice area. If you have really ever "been around" you would know this is nothing special. Typical small town USA. Visit family in area once or twice a year. Only decent place to stay is the one across the street from Capital Grille. Trust me. You will be happy you did.

As a frequent traveler, I was not impressed. I shouldn't have to grade on cleanliness, but it is what I'll give the 2 stars for. The problem for me is1. there's no pool (indoor or outdoor), no jacuzzi, no fun amenities at all!2. There's no gym! They have a contract with a gym located 2 stores down from the hotel. Yes, outside the hotel! The reason was said that there was no where to put one. This hotel opened in 2009. There's no excuse for me that in such a prime location that this hotel misses the mark big!

This hotel was recommended to me by a friend who lives in Raleigh. The surrounding area is beautiful and I was initially excited about my stay. When I got to my room I noticed it was warm but figured it was because the temperature needed to be adjusted. I set the thermostat and left for business. When I got back that night, the room was still hot. I contacted the front desk and was given a ridiculous explanation that I probably had changed the thermostat too aggressively and tripped the ac breaker. They also said they would have someone correct the problem. I was up until 3am but no one came nor did it get any better. I just took a shower and dealt with it. The next night was just as bad and I did not get any good rest both nights. It is a very nice property but that does not matter when the ac is not working and the staff does not follow thru.
