“My experience the first time coming into Kuku's, was transformative. I came in just to get some hair oil and shampoo, and left with a buddy?. I don't know how it happened, but Kuku and I ended up discussing everything about life, and I was hooked. It's the only place I consider getting products from for hair, (unless I happen to be at a pop-up and I want to support a new start-up entrepreneur). Kuku is SO cool and down to earth. “I think I found a new nail home!So one day after work I was walking to the train station (Farragut North…near Sephora) and I decided I needed my nails done but I was kinda over the nail salons but I still needed my nails done as I was going on a date later so you know how that goes. I initially went inside that building to get me a bit to eat and then try to find me a salon after. As I’m sitting eating my food I look over and I saw the salon and decided why not try them. I walked in and the owner was super nice. It wasn’t busy at the time so I didn’t have to wait. She started out doing my nails then a young lady named Sophia took over and I must say she is exactly what I’ve been missing since moving here. She loves a challenge. This is my second time getting my nails done by her and I have no regrets. She listens to her clients. She takes her time and in a sense love on your hands and try them with the best care. I don’t want anyone else to touch my nails now. The whole salon is a vibe and in a great location especially if you take the train. They are located on the lower level. Y’all go flood them and pamper yourself. They have it all there! ?“

Marisa is great, she does an awesome job with my hair and has helped me figure out what products to use and how to make my hair look it's best. She and I chat the entire time and I have never been one to chat while getting my hair cut. I love coming to see her and check in with her life and visa versa, we are like old friends. I went today and they are taking all the necessary COVID precautions. I have seen Kate for hair services, Nadia for facials, and Monica for mani/pedis - all were incredibly professional, knowledgable, and gave me the exact results I have wanted.Kate is a color master - she has balayaged my hair for years and always explains her process to me along the way. My hair is left easy-to-maintain and the color grows out naturally, and beautifully. I have very curly and coarse hair, but since I regularly blow dry it, Kate cuts with both styles in mind. My hair is left gorgeous when curly and natural, as well as gorgeous when blown out. She also cuts my hair in such a way that it can be parted down the middle and to the side - I love the option to do either!I went to Nadia when my skin was incredibly blemished (late 20s hormones = adult acne). After one facial, I saw immediate results. My skin was left soft, supple, and glowing. She customized my facial to suite my skin's needs and sensitivities, and helped me customize my skin care routine to maintain clear results. I'm happy to say that after a few months of monthly facials with Nadia and following her recommendations, my skin is clear and very glow-y. I feel like a light is emitting from within! Nadia knows skincare and I would trust her recommendations blindly.Monica is incredibly sweet and accommodating during nail services. I have gotten courtyard nail services during the pandemic and WHAT an amazing experience - the courtyard is lush and well-shaded. Birds singing in the background.
