Good, old fashioned barber shop. Hank is an excellent barber. I walked in and was able to get my haircut right away, but you should probably call and make an appointment beforehand.

I normally cut my own hair, and the few times I've ever had it cut, I've been very disappointed in the experience and the quality of the normal shops. I find it very difficult to find a true barber. Imagine my surprise while in KC for a wedding when I saw the barber pole outside Hank of Hair! I found a real barber in this unique, old school shop. Excellent technique and knowledge. My barber was a craftsman! If you're looking for a place with a bunch of tv's and a club to join, then go somewhere else. However, if you're looking to get a classic, neat haircut in a low-key environment, then Hank of Hair should be your choice.

Hank & Co have been cutting hair since well before I was born. Their steady hands, quiet shop, pleasant chit-chat, and superb chair shaves are what keep me coming back. Also, they recently welcomed Alaina, who's a sensational barber. Located in the middle of charming Brookside, there's really no better place to get a sharp haircut for a reasonable price.
