Ken Kandow - I can't say enough about his knowledge, experience, and excellent and personal care he provides to his clients. He actually LISTENS to your needs. I don't think I've ever met a professional stylist who gives as much care and consideration to hair color, cut and styles. Very clean, professional and welcoming salon, too. I'd recommend him any day! If you're looking for top notch care, Phases is definitely the salon to call!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Ken, the owner is awful. He seems to be a very money hungry and not concerned about clients or their experience. He claims he wants you to be happy. What a joke. When I told him I was unhappy with my previous color and that I was not going to get a haircut, he pouted like a toddler. Storming away to only to return to my chair to have a tantrum. While sloppily apply an all over to color refused to look at me or speak to me. This continued until I told him how uncomfortable I was. He then lost it. Telling me he wasn't going to be abused by clients. Nuts. He then got the other hair stylist involved which turned a bad situation worse. Needless to say it was inexcusable behavior. I left with color in my hair to wash out at home. Heed my warning and NEVER EVER GO HERE. It is a dinghy salon. With dated products. Stay away.

I've been going to Phases for a few years now. Elizabeth is my girl! She's fabulous. I've had her do both color and cuts. The color was for fun (I usually don't color my hair) and it was amazing! Her cuts are perfect! I've never had to have her touch it up as I did at other salons before I came here. I am SO looking forward to getting back to 'normal' as during this season of COVID, we aren't getting shampoos. I couldn't be happier with Phases Salon!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!!! I wish I could find an excuse to stop by everyday! Honestly the best time I have ever had at a hair salon in my entire life. It was like Ken reached into my soul and knew EXACTLY what I have been trying to achieve all these years!!! Everything from the cut, color, and product recommendations was just SPOT ON! They are so knowledgeable in the science of hair and hair coloring, it’s beyond impressive (and that’s coming from a Chemical Engineer!)!! Truly unlike any salon experience I have ever had, more like a sanctuary!

I had been craving to perm my hair and I am so glad I went to Phases. I was referred by a friend and went in not knowing how I'd come out. Ken welcomed me with open arms and such hospitality. He took his time, asked me questions about my hair history, what products I used, looked at my hair carefully and in great detail. His knowledge base is so impressive and he did amazing work on perming my stick straight hair. He made sure I knew how to manage my new hair before I left and showed me how to use the right products to keep my perm. I walked out having found a new salon that I will be returning to over and over again. I watched his coworker do some amazing hair coloring and they are the absolute sweetest people on earth. I can not recommend Ken and his staff enough. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and just all around wonderful. They are true artists who love their jobs! It's been over a month and my perm is holding strong and I am loving it every day!

Ken managed to turn my dull and very flat hair into a permed thing of beauty. He was so kind and an absolute hilarious joy to spend time with. He is so talented and made sure I knew exactly how to style and care for my hair. He knew exactly what my hair needed and his knowledge base was so impressive. It turned out even better than I could have ever wished for!! Something straight from a magazine. Ken, you are a true artist and I can’t wait to come back to you for years and years!

Vonnee is AMAZING! Seriously the absolute best hair cut experience i’ve had in my entire life. She takes the time to sit down and really listen to what you want. Ken and Vonee, thanks again for taking such good care of me when I came up from NC. It was a minor hair dilemma that could be resolved if you both just moved to Charlotte NC. Haha. Anyway, had a ton of compliments on the RED and cut so thanks again for fabulous service!
