Highly recommend! My 2005 Ford Taurus stopped working and was towed to an auto shop that quoted a high price to rebuild the transmission. I was not sure if it was worth doing so my brother-in-law suggested Cuddy Brothers for a second opinion. Todd said he would check it out and determine if the car was worth fixing. I talked to him a few times and I could just tell he would give me an honest answer -- and he did! As it turns out, in his opinion he would NOT fix it and clearly explained why. I was so appreciative that at least I had a good solid answer.So although my car was not worth fixing, I have told family and friends all about Todd and Cuddy Brothers. Todd was really good—very knowledgeable, honest, helpful and he took the time to talk (and listen) to me. Plus the price would have been much less than the other place! If you need transmission work, definitely go to Cuddy Brothers!!!

My 2013 Town and Country (155K mi) went into 'limp home mode' (2nd gear). Went to the dealer which showed a low/high pressure fault,.P0868 & P1745. Dealer stated all they could do is check for metal shavings in the oil pan, and if any found they would have to replace the trans ($7500). I took it to Todd at Cuddy who stated it could just be a fault that can be cleared, and it should be Ok. Sure enough it took several tries but in the end he cleared the code for free and the trans is fine. He stated if it comes back they can do a solenoid repair for ~$1000 which is the most typical issue, this can be done in 1 day! Honest, immediate service. Highly recommended!!! After another local auto shop in Livonia failed to properly diagnose and fix a small leak that was occurring with my E-150 trans, they gave me an option to install a rebuilt trans for $4400……which was absolutely unnecessary.After receiving a recommendation from a mechanic friend, I immediately took the vehicle down the road to Cuddy’s Transmission where Todd Cuddy went out of his way to not only stay open late to get my van into the shop that night for a look , the next morning he made a few calls to his other customers asking if they would mind him putting there jobs on hold so that he could get me back on the road and back to work.He quickly diagnosed the issue as a faulty internal trans pump and was able to have it fixed within 48hours of the van being dropped off. The total cost of the repair was $975………….not $4400, like the other auto shop had pitched to me.Like I said…..I highly recommend taking any of your transmission issues to Cuddy’s!!!!Thanks again Todd, you guys were an absolute blessing.

I called at 8 am, was there by 8:45 am, and was on my way home at 9! They took the car on a test drive and told me exactly what was wrong with it within a block! The gentleman was even kind enough to tell me how to avoid the problem while we wait to see how much a used transmission might be! AAMCO wanted $89.95 just for me to pull my car into their bay! Go to Cuddy Brothers!! You won’t regret it!Service: Transmission

My dad was the most honest mechanic I knew, sadly he suddenly died a few months back, he called me the day he went into the hospital, and three days later I watched him take his last breath In my sister's living room I've been praying to God to help me with my repairs and that I don't get a sleazy mechanic who'll take advantage of the fact that I'm a woman. I have not taken my car into Cuddy's yet but based on the great reviews I decided to give them a call and leave a message and I kid you not when my call was returned a while later the guy who called me back sounded just like, my dad!!! We only spoke twice and both times the calls were very brief but in those two short calls I felt a sense of goodness about him. I don't know if that is a sign from my dad or God or both lol but I do know that as soon as I get the opportunity I'll be driving my piece of junk right up to those guys with a lot less anxiety than I had before I called them.
