Lovely, calming decor. Excellent staff who are knowledgeable, warm hearted and efficient. Dr. Smithmeyer listens to your medical complaints intently to devise an individual plan of care perfect for your needs. I received some relief from symptoms fairly quickly. Dr Smithmeyer is also very compassionate and understands the devastating effects of pain.

When it comes to "firsts" there can be hesitancey when trying something new, that hesitance is easily dispelled here at Chesapeake AIM.When you live with pain you don't realize how accustomed to it you are, this was my case for five years with lower back tension/lockups and flare ups. "Muscling through" was no longer working and I opted to seek out accupuncture as a means of help.The folks here are exceptionally inviting, warm, caring and make it clear you're not only in an atmosphere to heal but an atmosphere that is glad to have you. Assisting with any concerns, listening and understanding your specific ailment as best as they can? In my case, it eased what little concerns I had immediately. As wordy as I am I fail to find words enough to describe how outstanding these individuals are.For the first time in five years I experienced what it was like to not have pain. My experience and time here could not have been better served. I'm very grateful for Dr. Smithmyer, Jinell, who displays an acute mastery of her work. The time it takes medical professionals to hone their skills, their craft and talents is staggering and we are fortunate to be on the receiving end of someone who displays a deep love for her field and compassion for those that seek her aid.I thank them all for their time and their help in a way I cannot begin to express, thank you!

Chesapeake AIM is AMAZING!!! I have had chronic pain from trigeminal neuralgia for decades but unfortunately with a recent health diagnosis I did not want to take the traditional medicine that would have been prescribed. So I wanted to try something different and hoping it would work, otherwise I would have had to result to the medicine. From the first intake call to every single visit, the staff has been great. Dr Smithmyer is professional, straightforward, and her bedside manner is unmatched. I have had positive results within the timeframe mentioned during my initial visit and then some. I am so happy that I explored alternatives and more especially, happy that I chose Chesapeake AIM.

My son is a patient for Chesapeake AIM and he loves it! He’s been feeling better recently and is sleeping better, he’s more active, & I see him around the house more instead of him lying in bed all day. We love coming to Chesapeake AIM because it is such a friendly atmosphere, very welcoming and warm. Very friendly and welcoming staff that has what is the best treatment for you. I have made significant progress in the early stages of my treatment plan which I sought out for my fibromyalgia. They are very knowledgeable in the holistic approaches that I was seeking after many treatments for this disease. Their treatment approach and being attentive to my changes at each sessions made me feel like I was a valued patient with my concerns and health at the forefront. I now have a decrease in my pain level, increase in the clarity of my thoughts & sleeping much, much better.

I have been taking treatments from Chesapeake AIM since October 2023 for neuropathy and back pain. I have seen great improvements in my neuropathy, I have much more feeling in my feet and no pain in them. My back pain has also seen improvement. Dr. Smithmyer and her staff are very caring and concerned about their patients, explain things as they go along, and modify treatments as needed depending on your needs. It has been a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. I have never taken acupuncture before but started to see the effect almost at once. From Dr. Jai being always available to answer any questions you need to ask about what plan is best for you, to her being easy to talk with regarding suggestions. She and her staff are very pleasant to be around and they provide you with an abundant amount of energy to help accommodate your journey, for whatever goals/reasons you may have for visiting them. A small town atmosphere that makes you feel valued and respected.Amber has been there for me when I was going to be a few minutes late due to a meeting and I was thinking on rescheduling, she suggested rather that I push back my appointment to an open slot she had available an hour later and everything worked out great so I didn't have to cancel other important mattters. She also makes sure I if I need water or whatever they may have available as far as refreshments, you got it.Shannon has been there to assist by making sure that whenever I get there for my appointments (regardless of how early I am), all of my equipment is ready for me to make a smooth transition as I check in and a smooth exit as I check out.Other staff members that have assisted me during all my appointment visits are just as friendly, courteous, professional, dedicated and are detailed in their work regardless of your questions and concerns, Dr. Jai and her staff, has you covered.Tee!

This is an office where everyone values the personal touch. They truly seem to care. The doctor and her staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. They see patients on time. While acupuncture didn't solve my problem this time, it was a real pleasure to deal with everyone at Chesapeake AIM
