Best Wax in Nola! If you want to be smooth as a baby's bottom Penny's is the place to go. Skilled and professional, no wax burns or tenderness. If you want to feel slicker than a snake sliding on a oil slick hurry and get serviced by Penny's you will be glad you did!

Penny is not a spa. Let's start with that. If you want cucumber water, a spa-like atmosphere, or to pay with a credit card she's not your girl. She is, however, immensely fast, good at what she does, and cheap, as well as being lowkey hilarious. I've been to 90+ dollar waxes at nice spas that took an hour and hurt like hell, leaving random patches of hair. With penny I pay 35, am out in 10 minutes, and typically get a great wax, although every once in a while I do ask her to touch up an area. She appreciates loyalty from her customers, and your regularity in getting waxes will affect things, but she's the best I've been to.

Always chalked it up to a "you get what you pay for" type establishment. Cheap waxes, pretty quick, but ALWAYS some hair left that you'd have to take care of yourself (particularly with legs). I made an appointment for 12:00 only to stand outside in the rain to no one answering the door. I called Penny and after a few seconds of stammering she claimed that her grandmother had died, but she could see me three hours later that day. Come on, babe. Don't lie about your grandmother.
