ROSIE is fantastic! She gets it right ALL the time! Color, highlights, creative color....she does it all and is very creative! This is not your normal traditional salon. It is retro creative cool atmosphere, colorful and fun! Go! You will not be disappointed! Highly recommend. I've been going here for several years and always leave LOVING MY HAIR WHICH IS LONG, RED AND FABULOUS!

I got my hair cut by Kelly while visiting Chicago back in like... 2012 (she was at another salon back then). She did such an incredible job that I wrote a yelp review and said "if I ever move to Chicago, Kelly is my go to girl!". Fast forward 6 years and I was living in Chicago, found my old yelp review, and booked a cut with Kelly asap. She did such a great job with cutting my hair, and I'm a freak who needs it done a super specific way. She also took my dark brown hair to bright neon orange--something I had been wanting to do for awhile but was afraid to ruin my hair. Needless to say, my hair was not ruined. After having a bad experience in October 2021 when I first moved to Chicago at a JCPenney salon I knew I needed to pick somewhere that had hairstylists that were motivated to make their clients look better and not worse. I'm glad I picked Twisted Scissors. I had to wait a month to make it in to their weekend books but I'm glad I waited. I usually get my hair trimmed and re-dyed a dark red color. I had a stylist that did my hair for 10+ years back in Seattle where I'm from, and in October when I moved here and had the JCP stylist destroy the cut and color it was traumatizing.
