An outstanding Coast Guard Air Station! One of the largest and busiest in the nation. They constantly fly search and rescue missions in addition to maritime law enforcement missions. They utilize the SH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and the HC-130J Hercules fixed wing aircraft for these operations. For a U. S. Government outfit, it is a great one!
CG was kind enough to give our cub scout group a tour of the facilities and interact with us. It was incredibly informative and i left with a new appreciation of how much the CG does to protect our shores. Thanks!
