Carlos is excellent! The tattoo I wanted was designed & completed by Carlos.The colors are vibrant and exactly what I wanted.Carlos is guesting at Tribal Rites in Longmont. If you’re on the fence, don’t be.I’ve gotten tattooed in Wyoming, Ohio & Colorado. His work is by far the best!

Modern Classic is a private custom tattoo shop conveniently located in Boulder’s University Hill District just steps away from the CU-Boulder campus. We have been professionally tattooing in Boulder for over 20 years and On The Hill for almost 15 of those years. I spent 12+ years as the resident artist at Tribal Rites’ Boulder location as an artist, manager, problem-solver and general shop cheerleader. After many years of changes, I needed a change myself & when I found this hidden gem that was literally just a couple hundred feet from my long-time station at Tribal Rites, I decided to try out just managing just myself and my own space again. The work here is mainly by appointment but we do walk-ins when available. That’s the scoop.
