First time getting haircut here was years ago when George and Dave were working next to Mars. Toad and another barber came after, with Mark being the last one. Passing through Riverside decided to stop by, man....sadness. Kid in back related the bad news to me. I'll always remember Mars talking to George about the zoot suiters, and going to school at Chemawa Junior High. Poking fun at Tweedy Bird(little Dave) and beers being purchased thru the adjoining Budweiser picture frame window inside the shop. Phone calls being answered with "barber shop". Rest In Peace Mars and Mark. May you be flipping that hand held mirror with Alfalfa on the backside in heaven!

I've been going here since the early 90s. They've always cut my hair perfectly, no complaints.But today I went in for my monthly trim and I find out that Mars and his wife contracted Covid and is in ICU. Of all the viejitos in Riverside, I really hope Mars gets through this. He's been a great guy and the best damn barber I've ever had.Edit: I just found out that Mars has passed away on Thanksgiving morning. RIP, man. At least they'll had good haircuts in heaven.

First time visit today. Older gentlemen named Mars owns the shop, a bit rough personality at first but very nice and knowledgeable of his cuts. He's been cutting hair for 60 years. Perfect cut!! Live 30 mins away, will be coming back.
